Happy new year everybody!
After a very busy year with more than 120 concerts and various production I am looking at a slow January, being able to record stuff and relay a little bit. From mid february on I am very excited to play a tour with GUT again and the Phishbacher CD release European tour. That will be a lot a fun! Stay tuned!
News June/July
After 2 months of tour and some workshops I was happy to do some productionwork in my studio in May again, including some samplelibrary stuff etc. Currently I am working on a production for RTL Mediengruppe, finishing with some shows end of August. Just coming back from gigs with Zed Mitchell in Belgrade I will be flying to New York end of July to record the new Elisabeth Lohninger album.
Definitely no boredom til mid September...
News March/April 2011
It´s been some time since the last update so here is some news: The Phishbacher tour started very well in Turkey, continuing through Germany, Austria, Belgium and Holland heading to Czech Republic. We will play there til mid April. With some days off I will go to Kiel in northern Germany again to teach a C2 course. Meanwhile I work on tracks for the very interesting Italian bassplayer Simone Vignola. Go and check him out! More studiowork is coming up in May. Stay tuned!

The new year already started with a lot of concerts in various projects. In february "the world is not a disc" will be released, followed by a big tour with phishbacher in trio and quartet setting. Check out the dates. I hope to see you at some gigs. Stay tuned!

After a fabulous tour with phishbacher and a very successful CD presentation of Axel Fischbacher the whole december is for farfarello and thier new CD "Glück" which is out now. I will play some concerts this month and more will come soon. Second I am proud and happy to have my favorite bassplayer Goran Vujic also in the junkfarm project. Check out the dates! 2 busy months have passed by again.! A lot of studiowork, including the new Farfarello Album...
Now I am looking forward to the Ammerland Drumfestival, followed ba a 16 day tour with Phishbacher. Beginning of November the new Kabanjak Album will be in the shops, I played on some of the tracks. Also watch out for the Fabry CD release. More details concerning this in November...

Hilden Summerjazz was a great success! Thanks to all for the beautiful music and the time we spend together! Now some new CD productions are coming up, including the new farfarello CD. Furthermore GUT is also on the road again...

After finishing the tracks for Frank McComb I am looking forward to recording some crazy stuff in Switzerland beginning of July. I also laid down some tracks for a junkfarm DVD end of May. In August I will spend some time teaching at Hilden Summerjazz and then take a few days off at the end of the month...
News May 2010
What a great tour with phishbacher! This project will be continued in February 2011. Stay tuned for that! Now it´s time again for my own trio GUT and some McComb gigs starting at the Hildener Jazztage, sharing stage with Dean Brown and Dennis Chambers. What an honour! Furthermore I am in the special edition drumheads magazine "die besten deutschen Drummer" which is a great success as well. Now I am sitting in the studio laying down tracks for the new McComb album coming late summer this year.

Finally I find some time to write again! I was very busy the last months: Touring Serbia and Switzerland, CD productions, Musikmesse Frankfurt etc.
The GUT CD will be in the stores April 23rd. Check out for new concert dates soon!

I wish you all a successful and healthy year 2010! I am glad to have more studiowork and less travelling in January after a very exhausting month. Looking forward to the next tour with Zed Mitchell to Serbia in February! More news to follow soon! Stay tuned...
News December 09
I am very happy to announce two new releases for this month:
The first CD appears on www.soul-of-music.net and is a beneficial fusion CD. All the money raised from this CD will go to the charity "Kindernothilfe e.V." I am very proud to contribute something to this project!
The second CD is the Blue Monday sampler of Axel Fischbacher. It features the highlights of 2 years Blue Monday Jazz in Hilden. I played on one of the tracks. It´s completely live from the club. Check it out @ www.jazzmonday.de
News November 09
The European Bassday was a great success. It was definitely not the last time to rock the stage with Bernhard Lackner and Adam Nitti! The Frank McComb gigs were a true highlight as well. Now I am looking forward to the CD presentation concerts with my trio GUT. In december will be another premiere: I will play the first gig with Junkfarm! Check out Junkfarm @ "projects"

Finally the GUT CD will arrive in about 10 days. I am really looking forward to that. Release concert will be November 23th.
Also watch out for McComb dates end of October.
15th of November I will be on the European bassday, playing drums for GUT, Bernhard Lackner and Adam Nitti. This will be a fusion overdose! This year has a great finish!
Kabanjak
A lot of new studiowork is coming up:
Right now I am recording drumtracks for the album of the artist Kabanjak in my studio. 19 Tracks are waiting for my grooves. This will be a lot of fun!
News July 09
After a long period of tiem some some about my recent works. GUT found a label and will do some touring in Germany in November and December this year. Phishbacher feat Fischbacher was a great success. We recorded an album last week and will be on the road Apri next year for about 2 weeks. Upcoming events: Montreux Jazz Festival with Zed Mitchell and in August I will play the legendary Ronnie Scott´s in London with Frank McComb. Nice prospects for the future... Stay tuned
