Complex, but still groovy and catchy tunes written by the fabulous guitar player Thorsten Praest. Goran Vujic plays the bass. This band pursues the traces of the great Greg Howe or Wayne Krantz, nevertheless keeping their own voice and style.

Strope play organic soul and funkgrooves as performed in the jazzclubs of the 60s and 70s in the US. Imbedded in the distinctive sound of the hammond B3 organ the versatile band repertoire stretches from originals composed by Gunther Rose and Honne Gissel to souljazz classics by Cannonball Adderly and Jimmy Smith. Listening and dancing go hand in hand. Strope consists of Gunther Rose (organ, keys), Honne Gissel (guitar), Matthias Bangert (bass) and Ulf Stricker (drums).
